The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= August 19. 2005 2:22PM Fannie Foucheux [Photo] Fannie Cenac Barras Foucheux, 91, a native of Houma and resident of Gibson, died at 10:47 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2005. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Chacahoula. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial in St. Patrick Cemetery in Gibson. She is survived by two daughters, Lydia Rogers and her husband, Marc, and Beth Whitman and her husband, John; one daughter-in-law, Clare Barras; one sister, Mary Ann Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, John Barras and wife, Sharon, Donna Hymel and husband, Dewayne, Lee Barras and wife, Ellen, Christopher Rogers and wife, Kimberly, Lindsay Whitman, Marc Rogers Jr., and Lauren Whitman; and eight grandchildren, Angelle, Elise, André, Jonathan and Rachel Barras and Matthew, Mitchell and Meghan Hymel. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Barras; her second husband, Lionel Foucheux; her parents, George Lee Cenac and Irene Sterkins Cenac; one son, Dion Barras; three brothers, Burt Lee Cenac, J.B. "Red" Cenac and Walt Cenac; and two sisters, Jeannette Kay and Julia Cenac. She was a homemaker and volunteered at Gibson Elementary School for many years. She was an active parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Lawrence Harvesters or Vandebilt Catholic High School. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
