Genevieve Cosse

Genevieve Hebert Cosse, 92, a native of Houma and resident of College Station, 
Texas, died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. 
Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. 
Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

She is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Young and husband Samuel of Florida and 
Jeanne Boudreaux and husband Joseph, of Houma; three grandchildren, Dr. David P. 
Buras of College Station, Lt. Kevin N. Buras and wide, Kristen, of Afghanistan, 
and Brian A. Buras, and wife, Shannon, of Austin Texas; and one great 
grandchild, Bridget Buras.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Hebert Sr. and Gertrude Chauvin 
Hebert; two daughters, Suzette Cosse and Sheila Cosse Buras; and three brothers, 
Howard F. Hebert, Jr., Roy A. Hebert and Donald K. Hebert. 

She was a retired school teacher of Orleans and Jefferson Parish School System.

She was a graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans and received a master in 
education from Northwestern University in Natchitoches.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed by 
everyone.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
