The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= August 22. 2005 12:13PM Geraldine Pugh [Photo] Geraldine Jane King-Pugh, 75, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 11:20 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Matthews Episcopal Church. Religious services will be at 10:30 a.m. at the church with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Frank D. Pugh of Houma; two sons, Frank D. Pugh Jr. and wife, Oksana, and Robert L. Pugh of Houma; four brothers, Earl P. King Sr., Elphie P. King, Thomas C. King, all of Houma, and Gordan J. King of New Iberia; one sister, Mattie King Smith, of Houma; one grandchild, Katherine Victoria Pugh; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces, and great-great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Hoffman King and Nettie Victoria King; three brothers, William T. King, Vernal King and Hoffman Anthony King; two sisters, Dorothy King Duet and Delores King Dunn. She was a retired school teacher who taught throughout Terrebonne Parish, most recently at Oakshire Elementary. She was an avid bowler up to 1961 and won many trophies. She played all sports with her brothers as a child. She was a member of Louisiana Retired Teachers Association and Terrebonne Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, where she was a member of the choir and altar guild. Pallbearers will be Frank Pugh Jr., Robert L. Pugh, Derel Smith, Gordon King, Steve Duet Jr., Earl J. Clement, Michael Phillip King and Earl Paul King Jr. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to St. Matthews Episcopal Choir. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
