Melvin Authement

Melvin Marie Henry Authement, 91, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9 p.m. 
Tuesday, Aug. 23. 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home.  Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Rosary 
Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two sons,  Farrell T. Authement and wife, Frances, and 
Patrick H. Authement and wife, Suzanne; one sister, Mildred Theriot; one 
grandchild, Denise LeBlanc; three great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren, 
David Hebert, Gail Guidry, Robert Palmer II and Hollie Fletcher; and 10 step-
great-granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. Authement; her parents, 
Willie Henry and Ella Louviere Henry; one grandchild, Linda Yerena; two great 
grandchildren; two brothers, Ivy J. Henry and Eudis Henry; and two sisters, 
Betty Adams and Sister Teresa Marie Henry.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
