"Neg" LeBouef, 77, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 2:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2005. Visitation will be from noon to funeral time Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by two sons, Wayne LeBouef and wife, Vanessa, and Samuel LeBouef and wife, Terri Lee; one daughter, Sally L. Naquin and husband, Gary; two brothers, Buvens "Neg Neg" LeBouef and Anthony "Ba Ba" LeBouef; two sisters, Elda "Da Da" Dupre and Della Authement; nine grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Bourg LeBouef; parents, Raymond and Lucille Lapeyrouse LeBouef; three brothers, Venice, Usey and Raymond LeBouef Jr.; four sisters, Mazie LeBouef, Delta LeBouef, Dorina Foret, and Stella Domangue Blanchard. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 5013 and Ward 7 Citizens Club. He was a retired boat captain.
