Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by five daughters, Gwendolyn D. Daggs, Bernita "Beedy" D. Washington, Juanita "Wanda" D. Hawkins, Venessa A. Smith and Thelma J. Brown, all of Thibodaux; three sons, Edward C. Davis and Jonathan Smith of Thibodaux and Carlon Cayette of Gonzales; four sisters, Jacqueline D. Thomas of Houma, Gaynell Davis of Thibodaux, Brenda D. Richard and JoAnne Davis of Gray; one brother, Charles Davis of Thibodaux; 16 grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores H. Davis; his parents, Willie Sr. and Patsy Davis; one sister, Marion D. Burke; and two brothers, Jerry Davis and Wilbert Davis. He was a member of Moses Baptist Church and served on the Civil Service Board.
