"Ma Bert" Howard, 84, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 4:25 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Community Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Luke Baptist Church in Dularge. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Delores H. Williams of Houma and Audrey H. Simmons of Dularge; three brothers, Alvin, Earl and Hayward Harding, all of Houma; three sisters, Hazel H. Franklin, Velma H. Ellis and Helen H. Lyons, all of Houma; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, London Howard; her parents, Ollie S. Harding and Henry Harding; and two brothers, Edward and Freddie Harding. He was a retired cook for the Terrebonne Parish School Board and was a parishioner of St. Luke Baptist Church.
