Augusta Hebert

Augusta Gisclair Hebert, 93, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, 
died at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church in Galliano. Mass will be at noon Saturday at the church, with burial in 
Cheramie Cemetery.

She is survived by four sons, Harold Hebert Sr., Skelly Hebert Sr. Bertoud 
Hebert Jr. and Bruce Hebert; three daughters, Evelyn Plaisance of Lafitte and 
Vina Mae Brunet and Carrie Ables; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 
14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bertoud "Bert" Hebert Sr.; her 
parents, Victoria Toups and Bennett Gisclair; one daughter, Carey Eve Hebert; 
eight brothers, Emetian, Sam, Policar, Isaac, Octave, Calad, August and Bennett 
Gisclair Jr.; four sisters, Octavie Cheramie, Victoria Encalade, Roseline 
Ingulia and Azelia Gisclair; one grandson, Harold Hebert Jr.; one great-
granddaughter; and one great-grandson.

She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and a parishioner of St. Joseph 
Catholic Church.
