The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= September 16. 2005 1:58PM Bernice Talbot [Photo] Bernice Babin Talbot, 88, a native of St. Charles Community and resident of Thibodaux, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2005. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. She is survived by seven sons, Francis Talbot and wife, Mary Jane, Lloyd Talbot and wife, Geraldine, Michael Talbot and wife, Eleanor, Bruce Talbot and wife, Edith, David Talbot and wife, Wanda, Byron Talbot and wife, Jan, and Daryl Talbot and wife, Donna; one daughter, Janice Zeringue and husband, David; one sister, Edith Mongrue; 24 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deoma R. Talbot; her parents, Desire and Amelia Guidry Babin; six brothers, Willie, Eddie, Leo, Ferdinand, Blaise and Harold Babin; one sister, Louise Hebert; and one great-grandchild, Desire Talbot. She was a retired nurse from Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, where she touched many lives. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Future Children's Museum in Thibodaux. Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
