Charles Brown						[Photo]

Charles "Charlie" Brown, 77, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Avondale, 
died at 7:55 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Our Lady of Prompt 
Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the 
church, with burial in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Gerdie Rose Brown; one son, William Brown and wife, 
Ruth Ann; one daughter, Rose Griffith and husband, James; one sister, Mildred 
Lawson; two stepgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Argentine Rodrigue Brown; 
three brothers, Sidney, Percy and Andrew Brown; and two sisters, Velma Breaux 
and Gertie Thibodeaux.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer 
Society.
