Visitation will be from noon to funeral time Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Susan; four sons, Thomas, Paul, Philip and Douglas Sevin; one sister, Alice Hoffpauier; one brother, Evan Chouest; three daughters-in-law, Rhonda, Elaine and Theresa Sevin; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Ty, Jarrod, John Paul, Olivia and Courtney Sevin, Kara Dufrene and Celina Louiviere; seven great-grandchildren, Cameron, Adam and Will Sevin, Brady and Tyler Dufrene, Kaleb and Kaitlyn Louiviere; her devoted friends, Steve and Barbara Eymard, Mirabelle Cheramie and Emelda Chouest; and special people in her life, Cathy Vaughn and Darren Daigle, Harold and Peachie Chouest, Betty and D.J. Bourgeois, Jean and Diane Ferran, Janet Ferran and Dr. and Mrs. Lynnwood J. Brassett. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, John Douglas Sevin; her parents, Catherine Gambarella Sevin and Marcel Chouest; two sisters, Agnes Engeron and Irene Daigle; and three brothers, Rema, Abdon and Luke Chouest. She retired from Pizza Hut Corp. and was a devoted mother, wife and homemaker. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
