Evelyn Stevens

Evelyn Holley Stevens, 73, a native of Laurel, Miss., and resident of Houma, 
died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in 
Houma.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William J. Stevens of Ponchatoula 
and his companion, Genell Morgan, of Ponchatoula; one daughter, Holly Stevens; 
two sisters, Linda Morrison of Baton Rouge and Rita Jeter of Shreveport; and 
three grandchildren, Alexander Stevens, Jacob Hinton and Steven Hinton of Houma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daisy and Felton Holley; and one 
sister, Betty Fowler.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of Beta Sigma 
Phi Sorority for 45 years.
