Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Raceland. Religious service will be at noon Saturday at the church, with burial in Morristown Benevolent Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Mae Gray of Raceland; five sons, Phelton Gray of Raceland, Alvin Gray of Gretna, Quincy Gray, Wayne Jones and Ezerkil Davis of Raceland; 10 daughters, Aletha Monroe of Thibodaux, Emelda Joseph, Annette Hill, Louida McDowell of Raceland, Willa Bergeron of Houston, Jackie Gray of Raceland, Shawn Jeffery of Vacherie, Christie Davis of Raceland, Demetris Edwards of Germany and April Davis of Raceland; one sister, Enolia Thymes of Alexandria; numerous other siblings; one godchild; 60 grandchildren; and 30 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sullivan and Ida Gray; two sons, Leroy Gray and Wayne Gray; eight brothers, Simon Gray, Harry Gray, Joseph Gray, Clarence Gray, Lawrence Gray, the Rev. Elijah Gray, the Rev. Sullivan Gray and Moses Gray; one sister, Ruth Gray; his grandmother, Martha Christian; and one grandchild, Stanford Jeffery III. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
