Frank Doiron

Frank Leon Doiron, 92, a native and resident of Houma, died at 6:50 p.m. Friday, 
Sept. 2, 2005.

Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 10 
a.m. to funreal time Tuesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.  Mass will be at 
1 p.m. at the cathedral, with burial at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

He is survived by three daughters, Frankie Ann Catrou and husband, Pierre, of 
Lafayette, Gay Marie Hicks and husband, Davin, Cathy Williams and husband, 
Richard, of Houma; one brother, James Dorion [sic] of Houma; one sister Margaret 
Larke of Houma; six grandchildren, Angele Hebert, Jean Pierre Catrou, Richard 
Williams, Michael Williams, Sunny Rae Hicks and Brian Williams; and one great 
grandchild, Dakota Hebert.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mercedes Bethancourt Doiron; his parents, 
Clay Doiron and Frances Fabregas Doiron; one daughter, Bertha Doiron; one 
brother, Clayton Doiron; and three sisters, Mae Francis Babin, Rhea Boudreaux 
and Juanita Landry.

He was a retired business owner of Frank?s Package Liquor and Grocery Store of 
40 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He played the piano, 
saxophone, bass fiddle and had a strong love for music.

He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
