Funeral services were scheduled for 11 a.m. today at Morning Star Baptist Church in Woodville, Miss., with burial in Davis Family Cemetery in Woodville. He is survived by eight stepsons, Kelvin Stovall and Welmon Stovall, both of Houma, James Stovall of Chauvin, Wilford Stovall of Lafayette and Larry Wakins, Melvin and Elvin Stovall and Randy Shallowhorne, all of Houston; four stepdaughters, Gaynell Wesley and Enderlyn Stovall, both of Houston, and Robin Shallowhorne and Ruby Nell Stovall, both of Houma; one brother, L.C. Davis of New Orleans; and numerous relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Davis and Mathilda Davis; his companion, Modries Mae Shallowhorne; three brothers; and one sister. He was a funeral home employee.
