Zaugg, 77, a native of Houma and resident of Lafayette, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at Bethany Health Care. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday in the Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers. Rosary will be prayed at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with private burial. The Rev. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley, will be the celebrant of the Mass and conduct the funeral services. Readers will be Sister Florence Lemaire and Sister Sophie Guidry. She is survived by one cousin, Joan Silver of Lafayette; two nephews, Michael Eschete of Houma and Thomas Eschete of Diamondhead, Miss.; and three nieces, Kendra Eschete of Houma, Julia Dantin and husband, Mitch, of Pensacola, Fla., and Kris Eschete Parrott and husband, Mark, of Houston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rolf Zaugg; her parents, Manette Eschete and Howard Eschete; two brothers, O.J. and Everette Eschete; and three nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America in Houma. Donations can be made to Bethany Health Care, 406 St. Julien, Lafayette, LA 70506. Delhomme Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
