Visitation will be from 9:30 A.m. to funeral time Friday (Sep 2 2005) at Chauvin Funeral Home. Services will be a 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Rogers-Matherne Cemetery. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Elgene Brooks and wife, Elizabeth Ledet Brooks, of Lafayette, Glen Warren Brooks and wife, Ramona Bourgeois Brooks, and Faron Keith Brooks and wife Jennifer Henry Brooks, of Summit, Miss.; one daughter, Adia Brooks Landry and husband David Landry of Bourg; two stepsons, Tom Hassell and wife, Ruth, of Cut Off, and Mr. and Mrs. Warner Hassell, Jr. of Tennessee; one stepdaughter, Sarah Ellen Beery and husband James, of Kentucky; two sisters, Georgia Porche and Rhoda Savoie; one brother, Earl Joseph Savoie; 16 grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry E. Brooks; her second husband, Warner Hassell; her parents, Joseph Savoie and Gracieus Martin Savoie; one sis Kirby Wayne Brooks; four brothers, Warren, Hudson, Nolan and Titus Savoie; five sister, Nora Savoie, Lorina Babin, Eula Savoie, Hilda Smith and Pearl Savoie; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She was homemaker and a member of Assembly of God of Bayou Blue. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bayou Blue Assembly Building Fund.
