Theresa Alvis						[Photo]

Theresa Ann Sutton Alvis, 41, a lifelong resident of New Orleans, died at 11:40 
p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, in Houma.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Mon-day at Holy Rosary Catholic 
Church in Houma. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in 
Providence Memorial Cemetery in Kenner.

She is survived by her husband, Isaac Darnell Alvis of New Orleans; her parents, 
Christine Cayette Sutton Johnson and Monroe Coleman of New Orleans; one son, 
Jarrin Jamal Alvis of New Orleans; one daughter, Jaresa Darnell Alvis of New 
Orleans; three brothers, Michael C. Coleman, Jason Coleman and Elliott Fredrick 
Sutton; one half-brother, Stephen Eric Sutton; and two sisters, Amanda Maria 
Sutton and Laragine Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Willie Sutton Jr.

She was a graduate of John McDonogh Senior High School and attended Delgado 
Community College.

She worked as an accountant before she owned and operated several businesses in 
the metropolitan New Orleans area.

Gayden Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
