Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Chatagnier Collins of Houma; three sons, Allen Collins Jr. and wife, June, Eugene Collins and wife, Linda, of Houma, and Charles Collins and wife, Christine, of Tullahouma, Tenn.; one sister, Velma C. Henry of Houma; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Collins and Evelina Luke Collins; six brothers, Freddie Collins, Camille Collins, Myrtile Collins, Jimmy Collins, Emile Collins and Connely Collins; and four sisters, Eugenia Authement, Victoria Authement, Verna Authement and Myrtila LeBlanc. He was a retired tug boat captain with Texaco Inc. for 35 years. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
