Hebert, 83, a native of Houma and resident of Chackbay, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by two sons, Eddie and Daniel Hebert; two brothers, Morris and Louis Hebert; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris C. Hebert; his parents, Sidney Paul and Eva Lecompte Hebert; four brothers, Leonce, Rubin, Edgar and Edward Hebert; and three sisters, Hilda H. Molaison, Alice H. Lefort and Mildred Hebert. He was retired from the Lafourche Parish School Board and was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 11 and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
