Bernadine Smith					[Photo]

Bernadine "Bern" Smith, 62, a native of Smithridge and resident of Port Arthur, 
Texas, died at 11:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, 2005.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. at Community Funeral Home in Houma and 10 a.m. to 
funeral time at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Smithridge. Funeral service 
will be at 1 p.m. at the church with burial in Bisland Cemetery in Houma.

She is survived by two sons, Darrell G. Smith and wife, Valerie, of Smithridge 
and Charles Smith and wife, Sandy, of Fontana, Ca.; two daughters, Ramona Bolden 
and husband, Donald, of Pomona, Ca. And Connie Ostean and husband, Clyde, of 
Houma; two brothers, Robert Smith and Loris Pete Smith; one sister, Geraldine 
Smith-Sims; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Westley Smith Sr.; parents 
Harrison and Thelma Jones Smith; two brothers, Isaac Smith and Morris Smith; and 
one sister, Lillie Mae McKay.

She was a Baptist and member of the Mt. Calvary Choir and a retired cook with 
the Terrebonne Parish School Board.
