Dupre, 62, a native of Chauvin and resident of Houma, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Bayou Blue Methodist Church. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Diane Dupre; three daughters, Michele Dupre, Melissa Dupre Cook and husband, Shawn Cook Sr., and Angie Yerena and husband, Carlos; and six grandchildren, Ricky Babin Jr., Kristen Dupre, Samantha Hunt, Shawn Cook Jr., Ashley Cook, Shealyn Raulston, plus a granddaughter arriving in January. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lela Dupre; and three brothers, Jack Dupre, Ronald "Tee" Dupre and Junius Dupre. He owned numerous local businesses, including Dupre Trucking, Arc & Arm Welding Service Inc., Contract Fabricators and Dupre's Seafood. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
