Engeron, 76, a native and resident of Houma, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. He is survived by one brother, Alphonse L. Badeaux Jr. and wife, Jackie; one sister, Gail B. Babin and husband, Jerome; one nephew, Timothy A. Badeaux; and six nieces, Nichol B. Romero, Colette A. Badeaux, Noel B. Henry, Heather B. Marcel, Kelli A. Babin and Jill A. Babin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Junius J. Engeron and Irene Ford Badeaux; and his grandparents, Theo J. and Regina M. Engeron and Eddie and Alice M. Ford. He was best known for his managing and owning the Terrace Gardens Skating Rink in east Houma and owning and operating Engeron's Oyster House, as well as Bay Junop Oyster Co. He was retired and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
