Gerald Roberts

Gerald "Wayne" Roberts, 49, a native of New Orleans and resident of Chalmette, 
died at 11:55 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Samart Funeral Home 
in Bayou Blue. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with 
burial in Rogers Cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Myrtle Roberts; one daughter, Melissa Sue Decker; 
four sisters, Elizabeth Ann Silva and husband, Roger, Barbara Jean Roberts, 
Rebecca Sue Havers and Cheryl Ann Decker; his aunt, Hazel Colglazier; three 
nephews, Michael Graffia, Harvey King and Roger Silva; three nieces, Sandy 
Keller, Melanie Roberts and Tracey Silva; and one great-nephew, Nathan Silva.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Roberts.

He was Baptist.

He was a victim of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
