Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Rita Hebert Crochet of Houma; one son, Lonnie J. Crochet of Houma; two daughters, Lola C. Deroche and Susan A. Crochet of Houma; three brothers, Charles Crochet of Texas, James Crochet of Bayou Black and Edward Crochet of Bayou Blue; one sister, Marguerite C. Giroir of Bayou Black; five grandchildren, Stacie Gonzales, Sean Crochet, Travis Crochet, Tiffany C. Carlos and Kaylee Deroche; one step-grandchild, Ross Paul Deroche; and three great-grandchildren, Taylor Crochet, Kahi Duplantis and Myles Breaux. He was preceded in death by his parents, Viltres J. Crochet and Anna Bergeron Crochet; one brother, Paul Crochet; and two sisters, Rita Crochet Martin and Rosemary Crochet Bergeron. He was a retired chef with Texaco for 37 years and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
