Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at New Rising Sun Baptist Church in Houma. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Southdown Cemetery. He is survived by his devoted companion, Evelyn Venible of New Orleans; one daughter, Sandy King of New Orleans; one son, Isaac Castle Jr. of New Orleans; one stepdaughter, Sylvia Mitchell of New Orleans; one stepson, Ovid Mitchell Jr. of New Orleans; five brothers, Louis Castle and wife, Willie Mae, Curvin Castle Jr. and wife, Arnolia Porter, and Joseph Castle and wife, Doris Williams, of Houma, William Castle and wife, Musette, of Pittsford, N.Y., and Donald Castle and wife, Cynthia, of Fayetteville, N.C.; five sisters, Josie Mae Austin, Carolyn Carter and husband, Carlus, Rosalyn Castle, Clara Barabin and husband, Albert, of Houma and Paulette Lay of Hahnville; eight grandchildren; his god- brothers and god-sisters, Guidry Williams, Edrick Johnson, Melene Maten, Lorita Gamble and Edrina Howard; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curvin Castle and Riffie Champagne Castle; his god-parents, Loretta and Edward Johnson; one daughter, Shannon Mitchell; his god-brother, Melvin Williams; and his god-sister, Clara Mae Wilson. He spent most of his formative years and all his adult life in New Orleans. He lived with his god-parents. Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
