Jeannette Smith, 31, a native of Bay St. Louis, Miss., and resident of Chauvin, 
died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday all day at Edmund Fayhe Funeral Home in 
Mississippi, with burial in Edmund Fayhe Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Smith; her mother, Maureen Hynes of Bay 
St. Louis; two sons, Cody Smith and Cameron Smith of Chauvin; two brothers, 
Jarrod Hynes and wife, Melinda, and Chris Hynes of Bay St. Louis; two brothers-
in-law, Stephen Martin and wife, Monique, of Larose and Darven Martin and wife, 
Wendy, of Chauvin; one sister, Vanessa Hynes; one sister-in-law, Holly Reyes of 
Houston; and 16 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herman Alfred Hynes.

She enjoyed tennis, lounging on the beach and get-togethers with family and 
friends. She was a Hurricane Katrina survivor.

A memorial fund has been set up at Hibernia National Bank.

Edmund Fayhe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
