Joyce Pearce						[Photo]

Joyce Smith Pearce, 61, a native of Charlotte, N.C., and resident of Houma, died 
at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time 
Saturday at Samart Funeral Home in Houma. Religious service will be at 10 a.m. 
Saturday at the funeral home.

She is survived by two daughters, Angie Dupre and husband, Ernie Dupre, and 
Julie Pearce; and two grandchildren, Faith Boudloche and Hayley Pearce.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mary Sullivan Smith; and 
one daughter, Kathy Pearce.

She was actively involved in Houma Terrebonne Tourist Commission, the American 
Heart Association and the United Ostomy Association.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to help with funeral expenses are 
preferred.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
