Lionel Menard Jr.					[Photo]

Lionel "Joe" Menard Jr., 59, a native of Kaplan and resident of Raceland, died 
at 12:13 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, 2005.

Visitation will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Hilary of Poitiers 
Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Visitation 
will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church 
in Kaplan, with burial in Mire Cemetery in Kaplan.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Menard; his mother, Alice Menard; three sons, 
Dwayne Menard and wife, Kristy Terrio, Scotty Menard and wife, Carolyn Perronne, 
and Corey Menard and wife, Mindy Menard; one brother, Jackie Menard; two 
sisters, Brenda Leger and Deane Thibodeaux; and four grandchildren, Cindy 
Menard, Lacey Menard, Byran Menard and Harley Menard.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lionel Menard Sr.; one daughter, Cindy 
Menard; one brother, Rodney Menard; and one sister, Charlene Menard.

He worked for Hutco and was a U.S. Marine Corp Vietnam veteran.

He loved spoiling his children and grandchildren, riding horses and fishing.

He was a parishioner of St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church and a member of 
the VFW.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
