Matthew Green Jr.

Matthew Green Jr., 74, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died 
at 8:05 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne 
Funeral Home Chapel. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New St. 
John Baptist Church, with burial in Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Lagarde Green of Houma; three sons, Micheal 
Lagarde and wife, Tiffany, Ernest Lagarde and wife, Sadie, and the Rev. Alfred 
Lagarde and wife, Joyce, all of Houma; two daughters, Patricia Smith and 
husband, Evans, of Raceland and Alfreda Parker and husband, Sylvester, of Houma; 
14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Green Sr. and Alice Green; one 
son, Matthew Elwood Lagarde; and one sister, Ida Mae Outley.

He was a member of New St. John Baptist Church.
