Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Eloi Cemetery. She is survived by one son, Ronald Ayo and wife, Nellelisa "Lisa" Ayo of Lafayette; three daughters, Garnet Glynn and husband, Bobby, Tammy Ayo Cenac and Wendy Thibodeaux and husband, Jeremy, all of Houma; one brother Edward Mire and wife, Patricia, of Marrero; one sister, Ann Naquin and husband, Francis "Cody" of Thibodaux; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Verret; and her parents, Roland Mire and Helena Peltier Mire. She was a telephone operator with Your Answering Service.
