Roberta Howard						[Photo]

Roberta Thomas Howard, 79, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of New 
Orleans, died at 8:20 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Paul Baptist 
Church at Lafourche Crossing. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at 
the church, with burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Lynn Howard and Sheryl Howard; one 
sister, Myrtle Every; three brothers, Ellis Thomas, Horace Thomas Sr. and Leroy 
Thomas; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Howard; her parents, Louis Thomas 
Sr. and Julia Butler Thomas; one brother, Louis Thomas Jr.; and three sisters, 
Leotha Ellen Hampton, Victoria Henderson and Mable Williams.

She was a member of Austerlitz Street Baptist Church in New Orleans.
