Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Samart Funeral Home in Bayou Blue. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband, Russell Lee Van Meter; one son, Raymond Falgoust; one stepson, Rian Lee Cole and wife, Jill; two daughters, Tiffany Belle Shows and husband, Ellis Gilling Sr., and Bonita "Deedee" Falgoust; three brothers, Herman Guidry, Labron Guidry and Frank Guidry; two half-brothers, Bruce Guidry and Earl Guidry; three sisters, Carolyn Matherne, Janet Trahan and Roberta McMann; four grandchildren, Ellis Gilling Jr., Haley N. Gilling, Blade Falgoust and Destino N. Falgoust; and two stepgrandchildren, Lexi Cole and Adrianne Cole. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Florence Falgout Guidry; her stepparents, Herman Joseph and Ida Bella MaGee Guidry; and one brother, Clarence Guidry Jr. She worked for Price's Seafood and enjoyed dancing. She was Catholic. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
