Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church in Hahnville. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Charles Cemetery in Luling. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Turbin Amedee; two sons, William "Bill" R. Amedee and David F. Amedee; two daughters, Janet A. Oubre and Kathleen "Kathy" A. Wright; two brothers, Msgr. Francis Amedee and Gerald Amedee; three sisters, Carmen A. Bourgeois, Evelyn A. Zeringue and Shirley A. Crocker; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambroise and Floresca Waguespack Amedee; four brothers, Clifton, Nolan, Norman and Ernest Amedee; and one granddaughter, Mary Catherine Wright. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, Masses are appreciated.
