Adela Pierce						[Photo]

Adela Lafont Pierce, 82, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, died 
at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2005.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church in Cut Off. Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial 
in the church cemetery.

She is survived by five sons, Arthur, Curtis, Jessel, Bryant and Patton Pierce; 
two daughters, Priscilla Trahan and Mona Danos; two sisters, Julia Picou and Jan 
Pitre; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alcee "Tom" Pierce; her parents, 
Amelia Mona Duet Lafont and John Lafont Sr.; six brothers, John Jr., Adam, 
Julian Sr., Edward "Chico," Hubert Sr. and Ramis Lafont; two sisters, Felonise 
Eymard and Elise Arabie; and one granddaughter, Sarah Pierce.

She was Catholic and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
