Bernard J. Portier

Bernard J. Portier, 65, a native and resident of Chauvin, died at 5:11 p.m. 
Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. at the church, with burial in the church 
cemetery.

He was survived by his companion, Barbara Andres; two sons, Roy Portier of Des 
Moines, Iowa and Travis Portier of San Diego; one daughter, Tiffany Portier 
Sonnier of Metairie; two brothers, Edward and Charles Portier; three sisters, 
Claudette Authement, Anna Cunningham and Aline Truxillo; and three 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilton and Irene Portier; and one 
brother, Mark Portier.

He was a retired Texaco employee, a U.S. Navy veteran and a parishioner of St. 
Joseph Catholic Church.
