Bourgeois, 78, a native of St. Charles Community and resident of Thibo- daux, died at 11:27 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances M. Bourgeois; two daughters, Carleen "Keenie" B. Babin and Theresa B. Biondo and husband, James Biondo; one stepdaughter, Mary Frances "Fannie" Crochet; one sister, Beatrice "Tiet" Mire; three grandchildren, Dexter Babin II, Celeste Babin and Mary Grace Babin; and one step-grandchild, Al Maclean. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline N. Bourgeois; and his parents, Paul Bourgeois and Corinne B. Bourgeois. He was a Korean War veteran, a retired Lafourche Parish Deputy Sheriff and a retired Lafourche Parish school bus driver. He served as constable for the second Justice of the Peace Court, Wards 3, 7 and 11, for 30 years. He was a prior member of the Lafourche Parish Basin Levee Board and served as director of the St. Charles Community recreation program. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 349 the VFW Post No. 3665 and the Woodmen of the World. Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
