"Tip" Bourgeois, 90, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2005. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Savior Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by two sons, Gene Bourgeois and wife, Patricia, of Lockport and Royce Bourgeois and wife, Charlotte, of Houma; one daughter, Brenda B. Bascle and husband, Ira, of Lockport; one daughter-in-law, Debra B. Bourgeois of Terrytown; one son-in-law, Henry Cancienne of Lockport; one sister, Lucy B. Galliano of Marrero; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maude Allemand Bourgeois; his parents, Taylor and Marie Hebert Bourgeois; one son, Dr. Wayne J. Bourgeois; one daughter, Barbara B. Cancienne; one brother, Fernand Bourgeois; and two sisters, Beulah Bourgeois and Marie B. Rogers. He was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.
