Cleora Watkins						Picture

Cleora Watkins, 89, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 
2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Moses Baptist Church 
in Thibodaux. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with 
burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by four daughters, Mary Goudy and Eula Hall of Portland, Ore., 
and Betty Goudy and Barbara Goudy of Thibodaux; four sons, Isiah and Sidney 
Goudy of Thibodaux and Samuel Goudy and Herman Goudy of Portland; and three 
stepdaughters, Delores Henderson, Louise Landers and Dorothy Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Goudy Sr.; her second 
husband, the Rev. Ernest Watkins Sr.; her parents, Samuel and Margaret Fletcher; 
one daughter, Georgia Peltier; five sons, Walter Jr., Nelson, Alvin, Henry and 
Joseph Goudy; two sisters, Elnora Hicks and Louise Dunlap; and three brothers, 
Isiah, Edward and Paul Fletcher.

She was Baptist and was a former member of the usher board, deaconess board and 
the 5th district.
