Visitation will be from noon to funeral time Saturday at Gertrude Geddes-Willis Funeral Home in New Orleans. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Providence Memorial Park. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Vail Chandler; her stepfather, James Miller; three sons, Larry Lee Vail, Charles Keith Rush and Frank Brian Rush; three daughters, Suntel Monique Rush, Dorothy LeVon Rush and Simone Cyntel Rush; three brothers, Larry, Harold and James Chandler; four sisters, Mildred Vail, Joann C. Williams, Leona Chandler and Joyce Hampton Theard; and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Thompson; one son, Robert Lee "Dookie" Rush; and one grandchild. She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church in New Orleans.
