The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= November 17. 2005 1:43PM Dorothy Seal Picture Dorothy White Seal, 80, a native of Chico, Calif., and resident of Thibodaux for 45 years, died at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever. Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. She is survived by her husband, JR Seal; two sons, Stuart Seal and Stephen Seal and wife, Faye; one daughter, Sheral Guthrie and husband, Ed; eight grandchildren, Yancey Seal, Katie Aucoin and husband, Clint, Maris Rich-ard and husband, Donald, Jessie Guthrie, Rebecca Seal, Amy Seal, Erin Guthrie and Betsy Seal; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton Richard and Brinkley Seal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Katherine Bowe White; one son, John Seal; two brothers, Melvin White and Jimmy White; and two sisters, Mary Clark and Ellen Taylor. She was a loving devoted mother, grandmother and wife and will be missed dearly. She worked in medical records at St. Joseph Hosptial for many years and was known for her fashion sense as a clerk at Bonnie's Dress Shop. Following her retirement, she volunteered at local nursing homes and hospice. She enjoyed gardening, needle work and walking. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to your community hospice program. Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
