"Pop" Castillo, a native of New Iberia and resident of New Orleans, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3 on Esplanade Avenue in New Orleans. He is survived by his wife, Beverley Howard Castillo of New Orleans; his mother, Melva Jackson Castillo; two sons, Errol E. and Timothy M. Castillo of Atlanta; one sister, Mary N. Castillo of New Orleans; one brother, Ronald Castillo of New Iberia; one grandchild; and numerous relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, Emile Castillo, his grandparents, Octave and Ella Mitchell Castillo and Julien and Antoinette Louvier Jackson. He was an employee of Touro Hospital, Renal Management and Gabro Healthcare in dialysis and ultimately as a clinical services specialist. He was a U.S. Navy corpsman of the Vietnam War. He was a parishioner of St. Simon Peter Catholic Church.
