Frances Folse						Picture

Frances "Big Ma" Folse, 78, a native of Raceland and resident of Thibodaux, died 
Friday, Nov. 4, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Third Zion Baptist 
Church in Raceland. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 
with burial in Young Men's Benevolent Society Cemetery.

She is survived by four daughters, Stella Triggs, Dorothy Browder, Barbara Lee 
and Cheryl Jones, all of Thibodaux; one son, Clarence Folse Sr. of Thibodaux; 
four sisters, Eldora Thomas, Olivia Triggs, Beatrice Joseph and Gertie Walker, 
all of Thibodaux; three brothers, Early Thomas, Eddie Thomas and Clarence 
Thomas, all of Thibodaux; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marcelin Folse; her parents, Ben Sr. 
and Stella Thomas; two brothers, Ben Thomas Jr. and Wilbert Thomas; and two 
grandsons, Vontrell and Clarence Folse Jr.

She was a member of Third Zion Baptist Church and was a former president of the 
usher board No. 1.
