Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by one son, Dan Minter and wife, Melissa, of Houma; two daughters, Sandra Minter and friend, Jennifer Foret, of Lockport and Debra Freeman and husband, Tom Freeman, of Houma; one brother, Carl Beard of Odessa, Texas; six grandchildren, Velvet Duplechin, Danny Minter Jr., T.J. Freeman, Wesley Minter, Amanda Minter and Ashleigh Minter; and two great-grandchildren, Madison Duplechin and Mackenzie Duplechin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Minter Sr.; her parents, Sebe Beard and Georgia Price Beard; one son, David Minter; and one brother, Herman Lee Beard. She was a retired bookkeeper with Mark Tool Co., a member of the Desk and Derrick Club of Lafayette and Odessa, and a member of Vietnam Veterans Mothers and Wives Club. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
