Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by one son, Linton Duet Jr.; three daughters, Gail Brudnock, Laura Bruce and Bonnie Guidry; three grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Smith Duet; his parents, Absalom and Frozie Duet; one brother, Stanley Duet; and one granddaughter, Raquel Guidry. He was a warden master in the U.S. Army in World War II and was the former owner of L.A. Duet Grocery. He was a lifetime member and treasurer of Belleamie Volunteer Fire Dept., a member of Lafitte Barataria Crown Point Volunteer Fire Dept. and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post No. 315 and a former member of Cut Off Lions Club.
