Lloyd Foreman Picture The Rev. Lloyd Anderson "Andy" Foreman, 79, a native of Kaplan and resident of Lockport, died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Memorial United Methodist Church in Mathews. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church. He is survived by his wife, the Rev. Peggy Foreman; two sons, Douglas Foreman and Jared Foreman, both of Lockport; two daughters, Pamela F. Testroet and Erin Duplantis, both of Houma; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; and was father-in-law of Bill, Darnell, Chuck and Meredith; son-in-law of Tootsie Barrios; and brother-in-law of Richard Barrios. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edva and Victoria Foreman; and one brother, Ed Foreman. He was a graduate of Centenary College, Emory University, Temple University and Boston University. He was a dedicated, ordained United Methodist Minister for 53 years serving churches in Massachusetts, Nebraska and Louisiana. For a number of years he served as an appointed evangelist of the United Methodist Church. He was a civil rights activist and played a very important role in the integration of the New Orleans Public School System in 1960. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Memorial United Methodist Church. Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
