Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Community Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in Halfway Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Bertha Monic and husband, Alvin, of Houma and Mary Shields of New Orleans; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Washington; her parents, William and Sarah Jane Fountain; seven brothers, Archie, Jessie, Percy Alphonse, Casper, Sidney, William Jr. and Goodson Fountain; and four sisters, Blanch Mealy, Rosie Hall, Marybell King and Lucille Fountain. She was a homemaker.
