The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ============================= November 07. 2005 11:16AM Marjorie Daigle Picture Marjorie Marchive Daigle, 69, a native of Bunkie and resident of Houma since 1950, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, of pancreatic cancer. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at noon Tuesday at the church, with a private burial at a later date. She will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Laura Daigle Ramirez and husband, Kevin, and Ellen Dagigle Doskey and husband, Chuck; her three grandchildren, Charlie, Anna Doskey and Ellie Ramirez, all of Houma; three sisters, Cecelia Breland of Belle Chase, Martha Campbell of New Orleans and Sarah Bowman of Katy, Texas; two brothers, Sterling Marchive of Houma and Benjamin Marchive of Lake Conroe, Texas; and many extended family and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Daigle; her mother, Sterling Cappel Marchive; her father, Alphonse Marchive Sr.; and one brother, Alphonse Marchive Jr. She was a lover of nature, travel, vegetable gardening and the environment. She was happiest on top of a mountain. She was an avid bird watcher and a member of the Terrebonne Bird Club. She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Bayou Region Hospice, 195 Corporate Drive, Houma, LA, 70360 or the Nature Conservancy of Louisiana. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
