Mary Tenney

Mary Schifani Tenney, 100, a native and lifelong resident of Thibodaux, died 
Friday, Nov. 11, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Joseph Co-
Cathedral life center. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the life center, with 
burial in the church cemetery.

She is survived by two step-daughters, Donysia Broussard and husband, Wayne, of 
Lockport and Alleen Hebert and husband, Abe, of Navarre, Fla.; seven step-
grandchildren; and numerous relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Allen Tenney; her parents, 
Giovanni and Antonina Musso Schifani; three brothers, Nicholas "Nick", Frank and 
Salvadore "Sam" Schifani; and two sisters, Rose Schifani Basta and Annie 
Schifani Bilello.

She retired from the Lafourche Parish School system having taught for 37 years 
and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court Anna Marie 993.

She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral.
