Acosta, 84, a native and resident of Napoleonville, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Philomena Catholic Church in Labadieville. Mass will be at noon Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Acosta; two daughters, Coddie Campbell and Sherry Delcambre; one son-in-law, Ronnie Delcambre; two brothers, Pierre Richard and Euclid Hernandez; one sister, Marthar Landry; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Desire and Cordelia Cavalier Richard; two brothers, Dorphy Acosta and Walter Acosta Sr.; four sisters, Delta Hernandez, Olphida "Tatoon" Arcement, Agnes Cedotal and Annie Bourg; one daughter, Deanna "Dee" Bonvillain; and one son-in-law, Joseph E. Campbell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Philomena Building Fund. Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
